| | Description: | The BEF is the governing body of horse sports in the UK. It was set up in 1972 as the senior coordinating body for the British Horse Society and the British Show Jumping Association. It represents the sports of show jumping, eventing, dressage, horse driving trials, enclosure riding, vaulting, and reigning. The website provides information on each of these sports, with links to the corresponding governing bodies. There is also details of programmes, news items, press releases, and international and national events. There is restricted access to non public documents, but those available are viewable with Adobe Acrobat software, and cover items such as coaching, breeding programmes, volunteering, and horse passports.
