Cross Country Rule changes

Jasmine Writes " Due to the number of serious injuries and deaths in Cross Country competitions over the last couple of years the FEI have bought in new rules for competitions. Eventing Ireland revealed they too will be bringing in elimination for riders falling at a cross country obstacle at all Irish competitions. Their rules will be applied from Calverstown on 29 June.

Eddie Macken selected for Super League

Jasmine Writes " The veteran Irish show jumper Eddie Macken looks set to compete again for his country in the Samsung Super League at Hickstead next month. Eddie who is now 59 has been absent from the Irish team for a decade.

Irish Eventing team for Olympics announced

New working hunter class for Connemaras at RDS

Equal Second for Irish Team in Nations Cup

Jasmine Writes " Some might have thought that the Irish Nations Cup team might struggle after a years absence but they finished in a commendable second place in La Baule, France yesterday (Friday). The Belgium team came in first with Ireland sharing second place with Switzerland and the United States.

New Competition "Pony Champion of Champions"

Jasmine Writes " Horse Sport Ireland, the Irish Pony Society and the Irish Shows Association are to hold a new initiative to support Irish pony breeders. They are to be given an opportunity to showcase their youngstock at Irish shows.

The "Pony Champion of Champions" competition will hold twelve qualifying competitions leading to a final to be held at the Irish Pony Society Championship Show at Cavan Equestrian Centre on 2nd of August.

Olympic Equestrian places for Irish Riders

New Agency for the Irish sport horse

Jasmine Writes " Horse Sport Ireland is the new Government established agency to promote the sport horse sector in Ireland and brings the sporting, breeding and leisure sides of the industry together for the first time.
