ISPCA - Positive Horsemanship Courses

The courses are to be held in County Cork, Longford and Roscommon.

New warmblood Studbook for Ireland

Jasmine writes "A new horse registration body in Ireland will operate the country's warmblood studbook. This action has ended the monopoly on sport horse breeding previously carried out by the Irish Horse Board/Horse Sport Ireland."

Patrick Hester and the Young Breeders movement in Ireland

Chris writes "Based in Roscommon, Patrick Hester is actively engaged in the development of quality Sport Horse Breeding. Having represented Ireland at the International Young Breeders competition in Denmark in 2005, he is very enthusiastic about breeding and says the competition is the ideal way for the Irish sport horse studbook to produce focused breeders in a systematic way.
